Check the parts before assembly

Compare the chassis documentation with the hardware on your bench. Check the motherboard format, power supply mounting, storage plan and available expansion space. Keep the relevant installation instructions nearby.

Plan mounting and cable routes

Identify the intended mounting positions and leave clear routes for power and data cables. Follow the instructions supplied with the chassis and components, and avoid placing cables across ventilation openings.

Record questions for support

Include the chassis model and the exact component models when asking for help. Clear photographs and measurements can help explain a clearance or connection question without requiring guesses about the build.
